What is prosthodontics?
Prosthodontics is a dental discipline specializing in the restoration or aesthetic replacement of damaged or missing teeth with fixed or removable dental prostheses. These include:
- Complete removable prostheses
- Partial prostheses in Valplast or equivalent
- Partial prostheses with metal structure
- Partial acrylic prostheses
- Immediate partial or complete dentures
- Complete removable prostheses on implants
- Fixed complete prostheses on implants
- All-on-four® prostheses
- Crowns on single implant
- Fixed bridges
- Implant bridges
- Inlays and crowns of the CEREC or E4D type
- Inlays and laboratory crowns
Prosthodontics also includes the maintenance and repair of prostheses, through processes such as
- Replenishing and relining
